COTTON GENOMIC RESOURCE DEVELOPMENT

In collaboration with the Plant Genome Mapping Laboratory and the Clemson University Genomics Institute, MGEL has participated in the generation of BAC libraries for several diploid and tetraploid cotton species.  Additionally, MGEL has played a supporting role in CBCS-based exploration of cotton genomes.  More recently, MGEL has been involved in a DOE-funded effort to sequence the genome of the diploid cotton species
